Who I am

Hi, I’m Sarah Schaber, a licensed mental health counselor providing virtual individual therapy for adults across New York.

I work from a client-centered approach, helping you better understand yourself, navigate emotional challenges, and create meaningful, sustainable change at a pace that feels right for you.

I aim to offer a space that feels steady, and judgment-free, where you can slow things down, feel heard, and reconnect with what you need.

Who I Work With

I work with adults who may be dealing with anxiety, depression, stress and burnout, life transitions, relationship difficulties, self-doubt, or perfectionism.

You might feel overwhelmed, stuck in patterns that are hard to shift, or disconnected from yourself—even if things look “fine” on the outside.

A lot of the people I work with are looking for more clarity, balance, and a better understanding of what’s going on internally.

How I Work

My approach is collaborative and tailored to your needs. I draw from a person-centered and strengths-based foundation, integrating evidence-based strategies to support emotional regulation, insight, and practical coping skills.

In our work together, we focus on:

  • Understanding patterns and emotional responses

  • Building tools to manage stress and overwhelm

  • Strengthening boundaries and self-trust

  • Creating more clarity in relationships and decision-making

Therapy with me is not about quick fixes. It’s about building awareness, developing skills, and creating change that feels realistic and sustainable in your everyday life.
